Are you ready to be apart of our 2026 Red Energy Newcastle Knights Dance Squad?
Auditions will be held at McDonald Jones Stadium on Tuesday 9th December 2025. To apply please complete the form below. Applications will be taken on the day with registrations opening at 6pm.
The audition will begin at 6:30pm and will be structured as per below:
Audition Process:
- Brief introduction
- Improvisation – performed in small groups for 30 seconds
- Dance Technique – A sequence of kicks, turns & jumps from the corner
- Choreography & Performance – Poms, Commercial, Hip Hop
- Panel Interview
Audition Attire:
- Dance appropriate clothing e.g., sports bra, crop top, t-shirt, hot pants, tight shorts.
- Comfortable shoes i.e., runners.
- Arrive with hair out & styled along with full performance make-up.
Additional Information:
- Arrive early with enough time to warm up
- Please do not attempt stunts/tricks that you are not capable of executing – the judges would rather see you perform well and within your skill set.
Successful candidates will be notified via email within 2 days from the audition and invited to the first training session on Tuesday 13th January 2026.
Once the judging panel have chosen the final team for the 2026 Red Energy Newcastle Knights Dance Squad, there will be no further communication on the decisions made.
